Ok, sorry Heather that I haven't updated. I haven't felt like doing much of anything including blogging. My MRI was fine but am still having headaches. I have been to the neurologist twice. He thinks they are cluster headaches, which is evidently some type of migraine. The blood pressure medicine is working good. But, this weekend, I got sinus crud. So, when I take sinus medicine, my BP goes back up. Needless to say, all of this sickness has kept me from exercising.
The good news is that I finished my taxes and getting a nice refund. I am going to buy me a Toyota Corolla and Jared is getting the Blazer. Also, I can pay off my credit card. I am really excited about that.

overweight or obese?
I am having some new health problems including high blood pressure. I have had to start a diuretic. Like most people, I am carrying around some extra weight. I asked my doctor if my BP problems had to do with my weight. She said that she did not feel that I was heavy enough for my weight to be causing the problem with my BP. She said that it doesn't hurt to exercise and eat better. Well, I was planning on exercising (really). But, with Christmas shopping, cold weather, etc, I have not done it. I kept thinking that I would start exercising next week. Why do we always think we have to start on a Monday? Or, maybe I could talk one of the girls at work into walking with me. I was playing on line yesterday and it asked if you want to figure your BMI. Well, I did. It said that I was obese. Obese! I was really offended by that. Why didn't someone tell me? So, maybe that's what I needed to hear to be motivated.... I walked yesterday and today so I am off to a good start. I didn't get this way fat by myself so why was I waiting around for someone else to walk with? Pray for me.

Nothing to wear
You ever wake up one morning and realize that you have nothing decent in your closet to wear? Well, I am there. It seems like overnight everything has gotten too small or needs repairs. All of my sweaters have either shrunk or look washed out with those little fuzzy things on them. I only have a few pairs of pants that fit. Two of them are missing the hooks at the top, the leg on one came unhemmed, and another pair is missing a button. I have three skirts in my closet that need to be altered. Anybody know a good tailor? There is a Blazer that is missing a button in there too. Pitiful! It's a wonder that my coworkers put up with me- LOL.
I am off to Target at lunch to see if I can round up something to wear next week. With Goody's going out of business, maybe I can find some deals there too. Wish me luck!
Signed,

New Year, New attitude?
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's Day!
It seems like everyone is "down" after the holidays. Why is that? We just celebrated the birth of our Lord & Savior! We should still be excited.
I know the economy has a lot of people down. Personally, I have got to figure out a way to make some more money this year. Maybe a 3rd job? LOL
It is hard NOT to focus on our problems instead of our blessings. I am certainly guilty. I do not like this dreary weather. It gets me down- everything is the same color (the sky, the grass, the trees, the roads are all gray). I like sunshine.
I challenge everyone to look for the positive every day. I think God wants us to find the joy in every situation- not just when we are in our ideal situation. Teenagers can be a pain in the butt(But, at least ours are around to get grounded), money is a worry (but we all have a roof over our heads), the house might be dirty (but that means we have loved ones to make a mess)etc.
Come on, guys. Let's make a resolution to cheer up!
